Branding, Mobile

overview -

Hearsay is a concept that I worked on as an exersize in my free time. The idea is that Hearsay is a mobile app that allows users to rate and review businesses (similar to Yelp). I wanted to create a brand from the ground up so I started with extrapolating the logo design into traditional print collateral like posters and business cards then moved into the mobile product.

the goal -

Similar apps allow you to rate and review business but I wanted to create an experience that more seamlessly integrated a social aspect.

the goal -

With this project I wanted to provide a simple and intuitive interface that allowed users to quickly and accurately rate and review businesses across a wide array of sectors. I wanted the brand to feel young, lively, and clean.

the solution -

As a part of the solution I created a corporate identity, as well as a mobile product. As an extension of the corporate identity I created a poster and a business card.

a key part of hearsay’s corporate identity is that it was created to provide users with a powerful voice. To play on this I thought there was no better symbology than that of a megaphone.
